Following An Interest.
I saw an interesting post on X, it was about this guy who asked a legitimate question on who places submarine communication cables, and this particular response made me guffaw — ‘The main contractor — is Aqua Man, and the Subcontractor — is Sponge Bob’ Ooh my ribs. I think the alternative fiber routes are doing a fantastic job of diverting traffic and managing the submarine fiber fault. I’d love to have a full view of how things run in there, God willing I will. To the current Network Engineer responsible for these submerged cables, wherever you may be, this is my declaration to the universe: I am determined to seize the opportunity to learn and collaborate with you
Did you know data travels in Bits and not Bytes — So those of you who keep saying my speeds are 5 megabytes please stop! It’s megabits… Inbox me, I’ll tell you the difference for a ka small chai of course.
Today I made an interesting discovery on the OSI Model. And for those who don’t know what it is please read here. I ain’t got time to explain it to y’all… Back to my discovery! Hold your breath(s) now! The Application, Presentation, and Session layers are for developers and the Transport, Network, Data-link and Physical belong to us! Isn’t the segregation just amazing? What a load off my mind.
Finally — I think single-mode fiber optic cables are cool. Have a lovely week!
