Omukhandi’s Struggle
Omukhandi, a 20-year-old farmer in the lush environs of Sirisia, was busy scrolling through TikTok, consuming engaging content on the #OccupyJKIA movement. He understands the need for change because his young family of three needs food and decent shelter. Omukhandi was among the many who queued for days for fertilizer in a nearby regional town. On his farm, he grows beans and maize, which require fertilizer for healthy growth. Now, looking at his failing crops, he is distraught. He remembers a feed on his X app that read, "Kel Chemicals Boss Implicates Office Of The President Officials In Fake Fertilizer Scandal" He sighs and inwardly wishes to be part of the Occupy JKIA movement.
Yego’s Fight for Development
In the border regions of Busia, Yego, a strong and well-built man, watches his fellow youth on television chanting for a change in the leadership of our country.
