It’s normal to experience emotional tensions in life. You and I have distinct ways of dealing with monsters in our closets. We select our distinct ways through observing the closest people around us. Some ways conform with society expectations i.e Religious practices such as fasting and prayer others are a vice. A puff here and there offers a quick fix, the nicotine rush gives a relaxing effect. Alcohol gives off the same effect with a confidence boost and a nasty morning headache, some resort to eating or shutting down and brace for the storm to pass. We all have our own specific ways of dealing with it. Whichever works for you,… ‘Bora Uhai’.
Proactively looking for ways to tackle your stress is what we strive to attain. I look at it as solving a problem that has a fixed time frame to accomplish or also being aware and able to anticipate situations that might lead to emotional tensions. The emotions we feel during these times act as beacons for your attention and triggers your impulse to indulge in your choicest drug which / whatever it is. Being calm in this situation is key to solve it in the best possible way.
